• In the app: Settings › General › Report a Bug… prepares a report with LLMTray's logs and opens it in your mail app, attached to the email (or shown in Finder for you to attach): you can open and read it, and nothing is sent until you send it.

Requirements

macOS 14 or later on a Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or later). Models need free memory and disk space: the setup assistant shows each one's size.

Common questions

How do I …? The LLMTray guide covers models, chat, projects and files, tools, images, music, voice and connecting your apps. The same guide is in the app: ask about LLMTray in the Getting Started project.

Where are my models? In the folder chosen in Settings › Models. You can point LLMTray at a folder of MLX models you already have; the Mac App Store version asks you once to allow access to it.

How do other apps use LLMTray? Start the server, then use the address shown in Settings › Server in any app that speaks the OpenAI API.

Coming from the version downloaded from our site? In the Mac App Store version, Settings › General › Import from LLMTray (direct download) brings over your chats, projects, profiles and downloaded models, with no second copy of the models on disk.

How do I turn off usage statistics? Settings › General › Usage statistics. See the privacy policy for what is sent.
